This summer school theme was dedicated to Risk & Value Management and Business Models (De-risking innovation; decision making under uncertainty; business model innovation; Evaluating innovation opportunities). A local workshop titled “Innovation for Sustainability: A Look into the Challenges, Opportunities, and Business Models” was held during the summer school, as well as presentations of project outcomes from ISQ staff exchanges. Among the other activities were presentations by UCAM and Chalmers researchers on the role of uncertainty in sustainability decisions, trust, and service-based business models. LIPOR, the municipal waste treatment facility of the Porto urban area in Portugal, was chosen as the site for the industry visit.
